Participants stay in a rustic farmhouse located outside of town, and travel to the nearby village of Saludecio to work on an Italian plaster restoration project. Announcing Venetian Plaster Summer Classes |
Get hands-on experience and learn to apply Venetian Plaster at Veneshe's Training Institute for the FirmoLuxTM Italian Lime Plaster System
From Home and Garden TV shows, to DIY clinics at home center super stores, Venetian Plaster DIY classes and synthetic plaster materials are more available than ever. But before you -- or your clients --fall for faux, consider that the alternative - genuine, all-natural Italian lime plasters and expert plastering techniques -- are immediately distinguishable by touch and appearance from their sometimes even more expensive decorative imposters.
Real lime plasters from Italy not only polish to a higher shine than synthetic plasters, they also offer a multitude of eco-friendly benefits and a lifetime finish that won't fade as will paint-based products. With hands-on training and experience, anyone can learn to master the basics or improve their skills. Veneshe Master Venetian Plastering teaches students to become proficient using FirmoLux imported Italian plasters, and gain mastery of techniques that can be applied to projects large and small--from simple home decorating to commercial and restoration projects.
Master Venetian plaster applicator Lori Blomstrom brings her talent, humor, and years of training and experience to create a class that is as much fun as it is educational and inspiring. Veneshe's students have included painters, muralists, Italian plaster applicators, drywall contractors and homeowners, all of whom have left with a portfolio of samples and the confidence to undertake new projects, large and small. Both beginner and advanced classes are offered this summer in Pennsylvania.

Venetian Plaster Yoga Room is the talk of the Bucks County Designer House Gala
May 2, 2010 -- High-heeled and well-heeled guests at the Gala Opening of the 2010 Bucks County Designer House who made it upstairs to the attic space were captivated by the peaceful serenity which seemed to emanate from the Personal Retreat Room created by Veneshe Master Venetian Plastering and Bella Pintura. "Every mom needs a room like this! " exclaimed one guest, to which her friend protested, "no, every woman should have a room like this!"
Guests were drawn into the narrow space, immediately noticing the soft flooring underfoot, created with RS CreteTM applied over the original linoleum, plastered and hand colored to look like natural paving stones. A tromp l'oeil canvas floor cloth, painted in the design of an ancient roman labyrinth, blends perfectly with the floor.
Looking upward, many guests were drawn to the organic Venetian Plaster finishes applied to the walls and ceiling. Veneshe used a two layer creamy Marmorino Venetian Plaster

Venetian Plaster Training in Italy a Success.
Students in Veneshe Master Venetian Plastering's FirmoluxTM Plaster training program returned from Tuscany with more than just fond memories of beautiful scenery, great wine and delicious, freshly prepared meals and Italian hospitality. The class of 5 students also returned with the sense of accomplishment that comes from mastering a new art form via real world experience, by perfecting their art "on the wall." The setting was the beautifully restored, 12th century B&B farmhouse Fagiolare, located in the Chianti region midway between Florence and Siena.
The class, taught by Lori Blomstrom of Veneshe, included 6 half day intensive training sessions using Firmolux Bericalce plaster, followed by a gourmet lunch and afternoon/evening sightseeing in Siena, Florence, and nearby towns of Greve, Panzano and Castellina. The balance of teaching and practical application, the camaraderie and team work involved in working on a plaster restoration project, and the artistic experience of working with
