It has been a week and a half since I spent 2 remarkable days at Veneshe, learning the basics of venetian plastering. I CANNOT WAIT to get started! Lori is a gifted teacher who seems to run on pure passion for her medium...I can't even remember driving home, and that was after a full day of learning more than I thought I was capable of taking in....and it still comes dribbling in as I go about the day! Our Veneshe class provided a unique and exciting way to both build my confidence in learning Venetian plastering techniques, and to be introduced to the storybook area of Tuscany. The countryside itself is inspiring, and the opportunity to be further immersed in the culture by completing a project while staying at Fagiolari was delight. It was rewarding to add to the beauty of this area via our finished room, and enjoying the wealth of historical/artistic/cultural treasures of Italy in our free time made for lasting memories and great pictures alike! Go team Veneshe!

Great introductory course into the use of Venetian plasters and their design possibilities. The hands on experience of making sample boards with the authentic material, required proper tools and in a simulated area (vertical as if a wall) provided confidence in the handling and application. I would recommend this course for the professional as well as do-it-yourselfer to see if this is a field/finish they want to offer or if they want to tackle themselves as in a homeowner. Suggestion, for the more analytical type like me: Would appreciate more factory information on installation tips as well as the different types of materials, uses and surface finishes.
