Always a highlight of Veneshe's Venetian Plaster Applicator training program, our 2011 Advanced Plastering Class in Italy offers an amazing immersion experience in the world of Italian plaster.  Classes take place over the course of a week, and culminate in the restoration of the walls of a room in a Tuscan villa.

Learn the art of Venetian plastering and savor la dolce vita

Veneshe owner and master Italian plaster artisan Lori Blomstrom leads the class through starting prep work, to plaster tinting, troweling and burnishing techniques, and waxing.  Not only will you gain mastery and the confidence to undertake your own projects back home, but you'll enjoy the camaraderie of working with a team to complete an actual project.  Students enjoy half days of hands-on plaster applicator training, gourmet lunches, and late afternoons and evenings free for touring nearby sites in the Chianti region. Class size is limited - you get as much personal attention as you need to plaster like a pro.

Accommodations are brimming with Tuscan charm

Accommodations include comfortably appointed double rooms. Full breakfasts and work day lunches are included in the price.  Two non-class days are set aside for relaxing, shopping or touring Florence and Siena.  A cooking class with master chef and cooking teacher Giulietta Giovannoni  is optional.

4 half days class instruction, materials and project training

Discount rates are available for couples taking the class together, and for non-student travel companions who room share with a student.

Out of pocket expenses are estimates based on our personal experience traveling in Italy. Your actual out of pocket expenses may vary.  We aim to keep out of pocket expenses lower by purchasing fresh food at the local markets, packing lunches, and carpooling on touring days.

Payment

50% Deposit due by  Sept 1 2011; Balance due October 1, 2011

*Early Registration Discount - Register by August 1, 2011 and take $100 the student fee.
