Amid the demands of everyday life, it is easy to lose track of simple things you need to take care of yourself.  You dream of a private retreat, a safe haven without telephones, television, email, or any other technology that busies your mind with more thoughts of the world and your responsibilities. A place where you can just be...a restful, peaceful environment that feels healthy, natural, and beautiful.

The beautiful Italian Plaster walls and ceilings of the Bucks County Designer Show House Meditation Room pictured above is just one of the many images that you will find in browsing our online portfolio. We've organized the portfolio into galleries which group together decorative plasters and plaster application techniques: the richly polished plasters perfect for walls and ceilings, also known as Grassello or Stucco Veneziano - perfect for grand foyers, elegant dining rooms and stunning bathrooms; the traditional Italian plasters you can see applied to bedroom walls and sitting rooms, such as Marmorino; the evocative Tuscan plasters we've applied to kitchens, artwork  and hallways; and the Old World plasters like Mantova and Piatto which look stunning in  living rooms and bedrooms.

Take a moment to browse our Plaster Portfolio and examples of our work with clients. Enjoy!

Featured Project: 2010 Bucks County Designer House

Veneshe Plastering and Bella Pintura have transformed the attic of the Bucks County Designer Show House using only the finest "green" building materials.

It's worth the climb up the two flights of stairs at Fieldstone Farm in Furlong, Pennsylvania, the equestrian estate hosting the 2010 Bucks County Designer Show House and Gardens. The natural palette, soothing sounds and organic textures signal a peaceful  other-worldliness. A multi-layered Venetian plaster finish and trompe l'oeil create a focal points. The floor treatment provides a soft surface for practicing yoga and suggests walking across smooth sandstone and pebbles. The hand painted trompe l'oeil labyrinth on the canvas floor cloth is a carved stone design blending with the floor to promote a deeper sense of contemplation and focus.  Hand-made wallpaper transitions to the creamy 'Marmorino" plaster walls.  When the light is just right, the tiny bits of marble dust faintly sparkle!

About the Designers

Since 1984, Lori Blomstrom has been remodeling, restoring and refurbishing buildings and homes in Bucks County and the Lehigh Valley. She established Veneshe Master Venetian Plastering to focus on bringing natural, eco-friendly plaster finishes and decorative Italian plaster techniques to her clients. As a woman owned and operated business, Lori is one of only a small number of female certified Venetian Plaster artisans trained in Italy, and a focus on authenticity and natural materials distinguishes her work. Recognized for her skill at developing innovative plastering treatments based upon traditional techniques, she was hand-picked by Firmolux to train plaster applicators at her Northeast training facility in Easton, PA. Lori now runs several local and national courses per year, ranging from one-day DIY intro classes, to advanced applicator trainings in the US and in Italy.
