Tuscan Wine Room
Veneshe welcomes you to the 2011 Bucks County Designer House
As you descend to Design Area 24, a surprise awaits in what was once a little. unused corner tucked under the stairs.
Now, re-created by Veneshe Master Venetian Plastering as The Vintner's Corner, this cozy little wine room evokes a little corner of Tuscany, with its natural Italian plaster walls, aged beams, creative use of natural, recycled and organic materials, and hand-crafted, commissioned art and furnishings.
This intimate tasting room features walls finished with imported Italian lime plaster, whose many benefits beyond beauty include durability, dust and mold resistance, and breathability. Note these other custom-made features:
- Moldings have been fashioned from local reclaimed barn wood.
- A custom handcrafted bluestone tasting bar provides a gathering place for wine sampling.
- A custom handmade mosaic mirror rests on a barn wood shelf holding crystal stemware.
- A trompe l'oeil mural hand painted by Bella Pintura, gives the illusion of an adjacent room for barrel aging fine wine.
- Two custom-made wine cabinets fit neatly under the stairs.
The beautiful Italian Plaster walls and ceilings of the Vintner's Wine Room are just sone of the many images that you will find in browsing our online portfolio. We've organized the portfolio into galleries which group together decorative plasters and plaster application techniques: the richly polished plasters perfect for walls and ceilings, also known as Grassello or Stucco Veneziano - perfect for grand foyers, elegant dining rooms and stunning bathrooms; the traditional Italian plasters you can see applied to bedroom walls and sitting rooms, such as Marmorino; the evocative Tuscan plasters we've applied to kitchens, artwork and hallways; and the Old World plasters like Mantova and Piatto which look stunning in living rooms and bedrooms.
